Comprehensive Brand

Trussardi 1911 is a fairly new fashion house with great designs that have solid creations and impeccable detail and construction the fabrics are something you will see and feel the difference. The characteristics are a selection that is subtle and tasteful.

Vukmirovic the creative director for Trussardi 1911 worked his slim silhouette in a multitude of want-able fabrics, This collections inspirations has gone back to Paris in the 1970's, the fitted flared shorts and military inspired coats and jackets, the feminine detailed blouses is a huge winner for this collection.oversize houndstooth (he uses the French term pied-de-poule, which translates to "chicken feet"), Lurex-shot bouclé, ladylike double-face cashmere in heathery shades of camel and gray, and edgier leather-coated tweed. Some of the bags have a bit too much Chanel and Hermès in them, but the designer has other temptations in store, mostly in the form of statement-making outerwear.
A horizontally pleated and ruched black leather jacket, a sheepskin coat-dress with an undulating zipper that opens and closes from both the top and bottom, and a collarless A-line jacket in lamb fur dyed a subtly chic shade of café au lait—those all have serious It potential.

When I saw this collection I was in fashion heaven, the pieces expresses me deeply and I am so excited to see what Vukmirovic will come up next.

Dan+Dean=Dsquared²

Dean and Dan Caten were born in 1964 as Dean and Dan Catenacci in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They are the youngest of nine children.
In 1983, they moved to New York to study fashion at Parsons The New School for Design, but stayed only one semester before returning to Toronto. Finding a financial backer in 1986, they launched their first signature womenswear collection, DEanDAN. By 1988 they had signed on to label Ports International (currently Ports 1961 as creative directors to bring the company more fashion forward and upscale. At the same time, Dean and Dan designed for their lower-end, leisure brand, Tabi International. In 1991, the Canadian brothers moved to Milan, Italy where they worked as designers for the house of Gianni Versace, and denim brand Diesel, the latter of which funded and launched their namesake brand. They debuted their men's collection in 1994, and in 2003, they launched a women's collection and a men's underwear collection.
These Canadians are known to really push the envelope when it comes to their designs but also the elaborate fashion shows are over the top incorporating with known celebrities like Christina Aguilera, Rhianna, Britney Spears, and Madonna the list goes on. With the following of some heavy hitters it is known that their success is known and respected all over the world.

The edgy collection for Fall 2010 is beautiful and exquisite, and with the pairing of the long and lean thigh high boots with the dresses, and skirts, the sexiness factor in each piece would be beyond any women's desire.
The lady like suiting really hugs, and the attention to detail of brilliant construction is evident when you see how both Dean and Dan designs for a beautiful women.

Creativity in all facets of these two the talents are endless, and I guess it doesn't hurt for them to be CANADIAN!!!

Cheap & Chic

The brand was originally created in 1983 by the late Franco Moschino (1950-1994). Mr. Moschino and his fashion label became famous for his innovative, colorful - sometimes eccentric - designs, for his criticisms of the fashion industry and for his social awareness campaigns in the early 1990s. After Mr. Moschino's untimely death, Rossella Jardini, his former assistant, became creative director. The brand has been part of the Aeffe fashion group since 1999. In 2006, Moschino designed the outfits for the opening ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy. Moschino also designed outfits for Kylie Minogue's 2005 Showgirl - The Greatest Hits Tour and Madonna's 2008 Sticky & Sweet Tour.

To celebrate the opening of Maison Moschino, the company's new hotel in Milan's Viale Monte Grappa, Rosella Jardini and her Cheap & Chic team changed up their show format, flying in British pop sensation Pixie Lott to perform and enlisting Italian actress Asia Argento to deejay.

Moschino Cheap & Chic, is another one of my favorites, and the reasons are that they don't take fashion too seriously it is fun and light hearted especially when it comes to changing things up. Social Awareness slogan shirts, and designing outfits for Kylie Minogue's show girl image shows that there is a vast imagination that happens within this fashion house.
The Fall Fashion 2010 shows their interpretation of the "chanel girl in a bright pink tweed bouclé jacket and skirt, and the"Hermès lady" with a black Kelly bag perched upside down on her head.

This collection has a lot of diverse pieces the great shapes of the trousers and the sophisticated cropped, and fitted jackets, the fun part is that this fashion brand always has pieces that when you add to your wardrobe their are so many conversational items. So take lessons from Moschino Cheap & Chic and don't take fashion so seriously and have as much fun as you can with it.

Inspiration of PHOEBE

Jaegar London's has been around since 1884 and is another british high end luxury brand. In 2004 the company has been reinventing their brand and image putting it up against Burberry and Pringle of Scotland which is a huge competition within these brand.
So when the clean feminine friendly collection came out for the Fall 2010 it really reflected alot of Phoebe Philo's work the creative directors designs for 2009's collection of Celine.

In all ways Fashion does get inspiration from each others designs, but this one has made Jaegar London desireable, I am totally impressed with the key pieces their pants are cinched at the waist and tapered at the leg, the outerwear is oversized, and clean. When it comes down to this collection this label has anglo centric cool factor in all pieces.

Bailey's Proportions

Burberry is a British luxury fashion house, manufacturing clothing, fragrance, and fashion accessories. It's distinctive tartan pattern has become one of its most widely copied trademarks. The company has branded stores and franchises around the world, and also sells through concessions in third-party stores. It runs a catalogue business and has a fragrance line. Queen Elizabeth II and The Prince of Wales have granted the company Royal Warrants. Burberry's trademark products are its fashionable handbags and exclusive fragrances.

Christopher Bailey joined Burberry in May of 2001 and has reinvented the classic nova check into something that is not only for the classic clientele he brought more high fashion creative designs to the well known luxury fashion house.

Almost in every collection that Christopher Bailey has done his designs it is alway sought after, the pre orders are always in the high numbers, and with this fall 2010 collection it will have the same problem, everyone is going to have a dilemma in which outerwear piece are they going to choose.

The military inspired collection with the variations of embellishments are absolutely brilliant, the oversized collars, the leather straps, the fringe, volume, shapes, and shagginess has become a crowd pleaser.
Bailey creatively has nailed it again, and presenting on home stomping ground of where Burberry is from is simply a huge honor and high expectation but as always it has exceptionally been out done.

Burberry has a soft spot in my heart, and am a true advocate in how sophisticated it always is

Fisherman's Style

Robert Pringle established Pringle of Scotland in 1815 in the Scottish borders and much of the company’s knitwear production still takes place today at their factory in Hawick. Initially the company simply produced hosiery and underwear but Pringle have been producing cashmere since as early as 1870. Otto Weisz was appointed as the first full-time designer in the knitwear industry in 1934.
The twinset and the signature Argyle pattern were designed under Weisz's creative direction, which became very popular with several celebrities and screen stars including Gene Simmons, Brigitte Bardot and Grace Kelly.

In 2000 the brand was bought by Hong Kong-based S.C. Fang & Sons Company, Ltd. Despite its slightly vulnerable position, Pringle gained a fresh lease of life in the new millennium, under the leadership of newly appointed chief executive Kim Winser, formerly of Marks & Spencer, and a brand vision and strategy was put in place to re establish Pringle of Scotland as an international luxury fashion retailer.

Claire Waight Keller was appointed as the new Creative Director in 2005, she explored the collections with the soluble yarns and cashmeres and washed the materials leaving a mesh and the imperfect little cashmere squares which were part of each part of the collection.

Waight Keller was inspired by the fishermans wader paired with the mesh tight top, and with the oversized pocket fisherman's inspired trousers.
This collections is completely something new for Pringle of Scotland, and taking it to the next fashion heights of what different materials being played can accomplish.
I really find that this collection is exciting, and on my fashion radar, I will be following this fashion house and can't wait to see how influential these styles hit the market.

When the Hunter captures his prey

The Canadian born fashion designer who has launched his line in 2006 in London, England has really found the androgynous zone for his clientele such as Bono, Mick Jagger, Courtney Love. The Fall 2010 ready to wear collection Todd Lynn was one of the great designers who kicked off London Fashion week and with Todd's designs he didn't hold back.

The inspiration on Todd's collection was that the "Hunter captured and wears his prey", and the different facets of textures, and fabrics were brought by the elaborate construction of his collection.

The outerwear pieces are impeccably structured and exaggerated straddling the bodice, from fox furs and shrug liked pieces of leather the shoulders were the emphasis of this sinfully desired collection.

To my ultimate favorite to start off London Fashion week, Todd Lynn designed for the perfect silhouette with dramatic style.

So to be patriotic, Well Done to another Canadian Todd Lynn!!!

True Blue American ICON

Ralph Lauren is a designer, businessman, creator, and most importantly and american Icon the list can go on in how he conducts each facet of his Fashion Empire.
Starting off in 1968 with his designing of ties has come a long way after over four decades later. The true american style is known as Ralph Lauren and is continuing to soar tremendously.
I visited the Mansion in New York located on Madison, and the lifestyle shopping environment blew me away, the visual aspect of the Mansion was impeccable, but not only was the staff incredible and helpful, the signature of Ralph was in every amplitude of his design.

Ralph's fall 2010 collection has the same signature as he always does. The true essence of a well constructed designs. his creations of ski lodge chic, puffed sleeves, herringbone jackets, jodhpur trousers has a lot of the Edwardian tailoring and is another unexpected collection.

Unlike his Spring collection of the Great Depression working with denim, he brought in a lot of great seamless tailoring and the detail is where you can see the dimensions of this collection has something for everyone.
So the American Icon still continues to stay strong and stays on top of his Game!

Mizrahi hit the target

I actually started to focus on Isaac Mizrahi once he started a great pricepoint line for the giant big box department store TARGET, and with that said, that was a brilliant move for both parties.
Isaac's designs really reflects what is currents, fun and beautiful to wear, and he brought that exact same image to the runway tonight with his fall 2010 collection in NYC!

His theme was anoraks, eskimos meets inspired ancient japanese armored show, which has lead to something different with the metallics, minimalist, and great outerwear that is added to the red carpet wear.
Whether you are looking for something that is for your everyday wear, or something that you want to go out to a black tie event Isaac really knows how to develop the look for you.
My ultimate favorite is the black dress with the giant buttons and the leggings, and that is because it is can just add to my "WARDROBE PORTFOLIO" and with that said, Isaac showed in his fall fashion week how much more detail was spent in the look to have!

An American Identity

Michael Kors is at the height of his designs. He is always a favorite with both men and women, his true signature is shown in this collection with the detailed distressed leathers, the floor length jersey dresses, and amazing chunky sweaters has given Michael Kors the cutting edge of American Sportwear.
Michael just understands the fit for both men and women, which is a difficult aspect to do where fashion design is concerned.
