I find that layering is a great way of  dressing in the fall; and certain pieces just make it absolutely fabulous. Great coats, boots, simple layering pieces are such a staple in building the wardrobe.

The Urban Maxi Dress is a pivotal part of the summer season, and so when the dress is such a huge summer essential you should let it creep into the fall essential dressing.

A denim jacket is a key piece to pair off with a maxi dress; denim has been been a such an essential in every season, so when you look for key pieces remember that a good quality fitted denim jacket is always a great investment for you.

You all know I can't wait for NEW YORK FASHION WEEK TO START, and having the opportunity to see Paul's new denim line be unveiled in a fashion show on September 14 will be a huge fashion experience.

Wow! I never thought how much the military influence would be such a huge part of the fashion runway but it has really taken the influence to new heights.

Wu'S Gold

Jason Wu was born in Taiwan, Wu moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada at age nine and attended Eaglebrook School in Deerfield, Massachusetts and Loomis Chaffee, in Connecticut. He learned how to sew by designing and sewing for dolls, and went on to study sculpture in Tokyo. Wu continued this career path at sixteen by learning to create freelance doll clothing designs for toy company Integrity Toys under the lines "Jason Wu dolls" and later "Fashion Royalty". The following year, he was named creative director of Integrity Toys. He decided to become a fashion designer while spending his senior year of high school in Rennes before graduating from The Loomis Chaffee School in 2001, and studied at the Parsons The New School For Design at The New School. He later interned with Narciso Rodriguez.

 Jason Wu launched his ready-to-wear line of clothes with earnings from his years of doll designs.His first full collection debuted in 2006 and won the Fashion Group International's Rising Star award in 2008. In 2008 he was nominated for the Vogue Fashion Fund award. Bruce Weber shot the designer for W magazine's "Summer Camp" portfolio last July.

Wu's early clients included Ivana Trump, January Jones, and Amber Valletta. He also worked extensively with drag queen RuPaul, ultimately designing six RuPaul dolls.

The Minimalist

 Fall dressing is seamless, and certain pieces are timeless. I love clean lines, and simplicity at it's best.

This outfit to me is comfortable, serves many purposes and is truly stunning.

This short sleeved coat/cape is a classic piece that can be layered over most pieces; Sleek and simple, Bottega Veneta's buckle fastening dark-gray wool-flannel and angora cape @ $2990 is the chicest way to coverup this fall. Hey Dolls! I know you all know that by the many blog posts that I do that I love Alexander McQueen; It has been a sad sad year knowing that he is no longer with us, but as a true fan and believer in his designs I will always continue to find the beautiful line he as created and left for us!

This outfit that I have styled together is that "GRAY MATTERS" no matter what, this color will always be a huge classic look.

The Jeweled Embellished shoulder top has been a huge phenomenon and really I love it and is another way to have a non-jewelry piece on you that makes such a beautiful glamourous
