Alternative Valentine's Wish List

Valentine's Day is coming up and I find that when I see the heart shaped chocolates, and red roses everywhere from the corner gas station to the grocery stores it makes me yawn with boredom. I asked some of my girlfriends what they would like to see on Valentine's day; here are some of what my girlfriends told me they would like, and I agree. '

I always hear that lingerie is something that men like to do, but most times those pieces are not comfortable, although it is exciting for the man, it isn't our highlight at times, so when I saw these cute Stella McCartney Knickers', I find that this might be another alternative to the lingerie kick. One suggestion one of my friends have said was a "hand bag", and my suggestion would be this Knuckle buster clutch from Alexander McQueen, it is very romantic.
I know fragrances might be cliche but all women do need a replenishment and maybe an addition to the other gifts, fragrances sets are always welcomed especially if it is your favorite scent. I love Flowerbomb by Victor & Rolf.
Makeup is always a girl's best friend to those who love makeup and the Nars beauty kits shows that your significant other is paying attention.


Jewelry is always a "YES" but at times different designs and fun pieces are something to show the special someone "you are special to me", I find that the dome rings are a great statement piece, and the delicate look of "LOVE" jewelry pieces from Max & Chloe is sweet to receive as well.

 I find that if your "true love" wants to spend a little more Christian Louboutin red platform pumps to commemorate Valentine's day is something fabulous to accept, and will show those fabulous legs off for your sweetie.

If it is an early dating relationship don't stress there are cute things out there, I fell in love with this boy and girl envelope holder, but works as a napkin holder for the kitchen or and envelope holder for the office.

Set the mood by lighting a scented candle with Jo Malone's candles make sure both of you enjoy the scent. These are some of the things I find that are different and show that you can be creative on Valentine's day.

Artistically Bold 3

It has been known how much I love big and bold statement rings; and one of my favorite rings is from Yves Saint Laurent, the" Arty glass ring" and the one shown is the royal blue one below.
Statement rings have been an essential for the fashion collection to be complete the latest favorite from Yves Saint Laurent is called the "Arty Too 5 Carat emerald ring", Alexander McQueen rings are also something to invest in.
There are so many artistically bold pieces out there, and it all depends how it looks on your finger, but do experiment with trying and checking out all bold pieces because you never know where you will find that special gem that will start the conversation.

Frida Giannini created Gucci's pre fall 2011 collection that reflects the London British elegance; the tall influential women that can carry the short skirts, turtle necks, chunky sweaters, long military influenced coats, essence of fur with the skin tight over-the knee boots.

I am in awe over this collection, Frida always knows when to add and edit while the collection looks so tailored to be panache.

Gray's in all different shades seem to be a neutral palette that is brings the fluidity of confidence with in the collection.

Coats that have such a stream-lined elongated look that show effortless dressing; Frida seems to do that with Gucci.

 The Horse bit detail has continued to be the symbolic icon within Gucci for years, with the belt cinching the waist of the blazer and fur cuff detail and wide trousers peers refinement. The Silhouette is long and lean.

The voluptuous play on different textures, and these fashion segments are filled with anticipation.

This lean trouser and sleek leather look with the fur scarf adds such grand appeal.

 The knicker length trousers is another aspect of this collection that has such a eye catching factor, when it goes from sleek and sophisticated to the volume proportions shows fashion decadent. The tailored looks that Frida has done with this collection creates such a seductive fashion assortment.

Gucci's collection is always strong, but you can tell the signature that Frida Giannini's stamps on her designs.

Fierce Metallics

One of my friends asked me to style her for an cocktail event her words were she will be attending in the next few weeks, and she said " I WANT TO LOOK FIERCE", and so this is the look she will wear.

I have been searching around for a wonderful silvery white dress, I found that it is not the most easiest task.

Dsquared² Pre-Fall 2011

I recently posted about Alexander Wang's Pre-Fall 2011, I can only continue to find other designers that I fall in love with their collection and Dsquared² is absolutely phenomena.l Each picture that I am going to feature are pieces that I can't wait to see in stores or come to acquire.


The casual collection leads into lady luxe and i find that the collection is for the women who loves to dress well, each piece that is shown is done elegantly, I would of posted all pieces but I featured my favorites. The fabrics textures, and the volume completely heightens how the collection is well constructed.
The styling of each look-book photo has it's own presence, and I love how clean each piece is shown by Dsquared².

The peacoat, to the denim, and eye catching red booties is for the weekender going to the hamptons. 

Big bold flowery prints are big this  coming Spring, it will be an influence to carry of til fall.

Military influence still look as though it will continue to play our fashion wardrobes.

The styling of wrapping a sweater over the leather jacket as a scarf to create a contemporary chic look shows another way to wear a sweater.

The volume of this tweed and fur coat, is one of my favorites, I love when designer play on different sizes to create an elegant silhouette.

Lady Luxe the simple pencil skirt elongates any body type, and the detail of the fur vest give a Jackie "O" feel

With the whole tailored suiting, and the well tailored dress, this asymmetric 

shoulder charcoal dress is sexy but so versatile for the office or to that fabulous night out.

 The final red carpet moment a one long sleeved dress with fur wrap accents is definitely for the -0 body type but the show stopper shows how many elements this collection shows.

I love Dsquared² they always show a solid collection. I can only rave about these two Canadian twins they seem to understand what women want, and what makes them look well tailored.

Dsquared² did it again I can't wait for next fall.
